MCP creative tutorial
Use IQM Model Context Protocol (MCP) to interact with the Creative API.
Overview
This tutorial guides you through using IQM MCP to access and manage creatives in the Creative app. You learn how to retrieve creative details, upload new creatives, and update existing creatives using the MCP interface.
Before you begin
To upload a creative using IQM MCP, the following are required:
- An account on the IQM platform
- See Before you begin to create an account and request a Client ID and Client Secret
- Image, Video, Audio, HTML, VAST, DAAST, CSV, or XLSX file to upload a creative
File requirements for creative file:
- 2MB for JPG, JPEG, PNG
- 750KB for GIF
- 400MB for MOV, MP4
- 100MB for MP3, WAV, OGG, MPEG

About IQM creatives
The IQM APIs provide access to upload a creative in Image, Video, Audio, HTML, XLSX, or CSV formats. The APIs can be used to connect to the desired applications.

Upload a creative
To upload a creative using IQM MCP, you can either prompt Claude to upload a specified file or have Claude search for a file in the designated directory. Try these prompts:

Assign creative to campaign
After uploading the creative, you can assign it to a campaign using IQM MCP. Use the following prompt:
